Here we are 7 years ago at the same waterfall for our engagment pictures! September 2001

Logan Canyon

Last Sunday Brent had a good idea to drive up Logan Canyon and look at the leaves. I can't believe that it is fall and the leaves are already starting to change color. We went on a little hike and took some pictures and videos along the way. We also stopped and took some pictures by a waterfall that's up there where Brent and I actually took some of our engagement pictures 7 years ago!

As we were walking along the trail Brent would run ahead and then jump out and scare Gavin! It was pretty darn cute. Gavin loves being outside and so this little trip was great for him. We found a leaf that had turned red and fallen to the ground and I showed it to Gavin and he just had to carry it around the rest of the time. Here is a video of Brent scaring Gavin...

I have more videos and pictures on our computer at home but we are at Bear Lake right now, so I will just post this video that I saved on here earlier and then add more to it later!

Thank-you Nemo!

Pround Mom Moment!

(Warning: this post might have TMI: Too Much Information, but I'm so excited I don't even care!) So tonight Gavin and I were chillin' at my grandma's house in Tremonton and she told me that I better show Gavin her new toilet seat because he will love it. (She knows him well!)

We went in the bathroom and she had a brand new fish toilet seat with a clown fish on it that looks like Nemo. Gavin got so excited! Well, I had been drinking a lot of water and I had to go! So I went and then Gavin wanted to go! So I put him on the toilet and he went pee in the toilet too! Hallelujah! I was so happy! Nick & Linsey and Sean & Wendy were outside checking out Nick's "man cave" (that's another story!) so I ran out there to share the happy news. I was jumping up and down and doing a little dance and I'm pretty sure they thought I was crazy! I hope this is an indication of things to come! Time to find a Nemo toilet seat...

Gavin's first fishing trip...

Last week Gavin and I got to go fishing with Brent's dad, Loran, at First Dam in Logan. Gavin loved it! He loved splashing in the water, looking at the ducks, and he especially loved touching the fish!
Here he is learning how to hold a fishing pole...
We had a successful trip and I think we caught 6 fish in about 45 minutes. Not too shabby! I am going to miss this nice weather when we can't do stuff like this for a while. I am not looking forward to snow...can ya tell?! Thanks Grandpa Hirschi for a fun time!

The Box Elder County Fair & Rodeo!!!

Yee haw! Last week was the famous Box Elder County Fair & Golden Spike Rodeo! Wahoo! I enjoy going to the fair and seeing old friends and family that I haven't seen for a long time. Gavin and I even made it to the parade this year (per my mom's request)!
My uncle Jason entered a beautiful painting of the Logan Temple in the fair and won first place! Way to go Jason!

My cute cousins Ireland and Brennen entered some art in the fair and they got blue ribbons too! Must run in the family! Great job guys!

Gavin & Aunt Ronda checking out the bunnies...We were all walking around looking at the animals when my uncle Jason, who was up ahead, started laughing. We asked what was so funny and he said, "Come check out these pigs...they are spooning!" Sure enough...
My cute sister Ronda!
Gavin all tuckered out after a long day at the fair!

Just Like Old Times!

Later that night Joell, Wendy and I went to the rodeo with Joell's husband Bryce and their stinkin' cute daughter Ellie!

Joell, Randi, Wendy. Just like old times!
As we were watching the rodeo Brent texted me and asked what I was up to. I took a picture from where I was sitting and sent it to him. There were some kids playing right behind us and once in a while they would bump into us. So as I was sitting there I felt something brushing against my backside. I thought it was just those kids playing, but then it went on a little longer than was comfortable so I turned around and there was Brent under the bleachers! He had been in Salt Lake and came through Tremonton to surprise me! How cute is that? So yeah, it was him playing with my behind. He was teasing me saying, "you were just going to let somebody play with your butt like that?" Ha ha. He actually found where we were sitting by the picture I sent him!

My Little Man...

Gavin is at such a fun age right now. I love it! Of course he has his not so fun moments, but the good times make it worth it! He is learning so many new words each day and he is so playful and fun. Right now I think his favorite word is "no" but he has no idea what it means. For example, whenever I ask him to do something he says "no" but then he does it. Or if I ask him if he wants to eat something he says "no" and then eats it. What a nut! I guess to him NO means YES.
Also, when I am holding him and talking to someone else he will grab my face and turn it so that I am looking at him... and then he just smiles. Like, "okay Mom, now I have your attention so I'm happy."
Gavin loves his Da-Da a lot! Yesterday he found a Dodge beanie of Brent's and he wanted to wear it around all day and just kept pointing at it saying, "Da-Da!"
