The Box Elder County Fair & Rodeo!!!

Yee haw! Last week was the famous Box Elder County Fair & Golden Spike Rodeo! Wahoo! I enjoy going to the fair and seeing old friends and family that I haven't seen for a long time. Gavin and I even made it to the parade this year (per my mom's request)!
My uncle Jason entered a beautiful painting of the Logan Temple in the fair and won first place! Way to go Jason!

My cute cousins Ireland and Brennen entered some art in the fair and they got blue ribbons too! Must run in the family! Great job guys!

Gavin & Aunt Ronda checking out the bunnies...We were all walking around looking at the animals when my uncle Jason, who was up ahead, started laughing. We asked what was so funny and he said, "Come check out these pigs...they are spooning!" Sure enough...
My cute sister Ronda!
Gavin all tuckered out after a long day at the fair!

Just Like Old Times!

Later that night Joell, Wendy and I went to the rodeo with Joell's husband Bryce and their stinkin' cute daughter Ellie!

Joell, Randi, Wendy. Just like old times!
As we were watching the rodeo Brent texted me and asked what I was up to. I took a picture from where I was sitting and sent it to him. There were some kids playing right behind us and once in a while they would bump into us. So as I was sitting there I felt something brushing against my backside. I thought it was just those kids playing, but then it went on a little longer than was comfortable so I turned around and there was Brent under the bleachers! He had been in Salt Lake and came through Tremonton to surprise me! How cute is that? So yeah, it was him playing with my behind. He was teasing me saying, "you were just going to let somebody play with your butt like that?" Ha ha. He actually found where we were sitting by the picture I sent him!

My Little Man...

Gavin is at such a fun age right now. I love it! Of course he has his not so fun moments, but the good times make it worth it! He is learning so many new words each day and he is so playful and fun. Right now I think his favorite word is "no" but he has no idea what it means. For example, whenever I ask him to do something he says "no" but then he does it. Or if I ask him if he wants to eat something he says "no" and then eats it. What a nut! I guess to him NO means YES.
Also, when I am holding him and talking to someone else he will grab my face and turn it so that I am looking at him... and then he just smiles. Like, "okay Mom, now I have your attention so I'm happy."
Gavin loves his Da-Da a lot! Yesterday he found a Dodge beanie of Brent's and he wanted to wear it around all day and just kept pointing at it saying, "Da-Da!"

Joni Baloni is 48!

We had a birthday party for my mom on Sunday and she turned 48! (Her birthday was actually Saturday the 23rd). My sister & I invited all of the family and some friends over to my mom's house for dinner, cake & ice-cream. We all sat around eating, talking and having a great time! Then we pulled out some old pictures and took a walk down memory lane. I have the cutest mom in the world. She is so friendly and happy to everyone she meets and I wish I could be more like that! I am grateful for her wonderful example.

Happy Birthday Mom! You are one of my favorite people and I love you so much!

Happy Birthday Wendy!

My bestest friend Wendy celebrated her 26th birthday a few weeks ago! Happy Birthday Wendy! For her birthday she was feeling adventurous and wanted to go SKY DIVING! She invited us to go and it was awesome! Wendy paid extra to get the professional video and pictures taken and they are pretty sweet! I have some of those pictures saved on our other computer, but it is at Bear Lake so I will have to post those later. Here are some of the ones we took...

Sean & Wendy waiting for their chance to jump out of the plane!

(At this moment I was thinking, "Okay, we're suited up, when does the class begin?
Come to find out, there isn't one!)

The sweet (yet scary) airplane that we jumped out of!

Action shot! Not sure who this is...but since it was Wendy's birthday we'll say it's her!
The four of us (Brent, Randi, Wendy & Sean) after our awesome adventure!
We had so much fun! Thanks for inviting us guys!

I love ya Wend! You are awesome and I am so glad that we have stayed so close after all of these years. Our friendship has stood the test of time. You're the best!

Missing Meeko...

Our dog, Meeko, has been missing since July 3rd. By now I have given up hope that she is coming home. We have had her for 6 years, so it has been quite an adjustment not having her around. She became a part of our family and I miss her and want to know what happened to her!

I started putting her in the (fenced) back yard when I left the house because she was doing her business in the house. June & July were so crazy busy for us and Meeko didn't get much attention, so I think she was rebelling to get attention! Anyway, the last straw came when one day I got up to get ready and as I went into the bathroom I stepped in Meeko pee and it was all over the tile and the rug. Nasty! Then the very next day I walked into our bedroom and she had thrown up on our bed! Ever nastier!

So when I put her in the back yard she found some way to escape while I was gone. When I got home that night she scratched at the front door and I let her in to discover that she had had quite the adventure that day and was covered in poop. We figured out where she was getting out and closed it off, but the next time I left and put her in the back yard she found another way to get out... only this time we never saw her again. I just keep telling myself that she is happy where she is, whether it be in doggy heaven or with some nice family! I just want some closure.

It takes a long time to grow old friends...

My cute friend Lindsay was in town from Georgia so she got a group of us together for lunch at the Coppermill here in Logan. It was fun to catch up with old friends! Here's our group! We had 4 little boys at our table so it was quite an adventure!
