Missing Meeko...

Our dog, Meeko, has been missing since July 3rd. By now I have given up hope that she is coming home. We have had her for 6 years, so it has been quite an adjustment not having her around. She became a part of our family and I miss her and want to know what happened to her!

I started putting her in the (fenced) back yard when I left the house because she was doing her business in the house. June & July were so crazy busy for us and Meeko didn't get much attention, so I think she was rebelling to get attention! Anyway, the last straw came when one day I got up to get ready and as I went into the bathroom I stepped in Meeko pee and it was all over the tile and the rug. Nasty! Then the very next day I walked into our bedroom and she had thrown up on our bed! Ever nastier!

So when I put her in the back yard she found some way to escape while I was gone. When I got home that night she scratched at the front door and I let her in to discover that she had had quite the adventure that day and was covered in poop. We figured out where she was getting out and closed it off, but the next time I left and put her in the back yard she found another way to get out... only this time we never saw her again. I just keep telling myself that she is happy where she is, whether it be in doggy heaven or with some nice family! I just want some closure.

That is so sad. Growing up where I did we 'lost' a lot of dogs and it was easier to deal with the ones you knew died than the ones that just disappeared. I hope you get your closure. That is awful especially after 6 years!

As much as i really dislike dogs that is a sad story! Meeko was always nice and she loved Bryce! Her little yelp will be missed!

That is sad. I remember you had her back in the Lowe's days.
