Please Forgive Me...

...I changed our background and lost everyone's links in the process! I am still trying to figure out who else I don't have on my list. So, if you don't see your name please let me know so that I can put you on there!

Thanks!

Memories...

I got this from my friend Joell's blog.

Here's how you do it-

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Summer is in full swing! (Where did June go?)

Well you can obviously tell that life has been busy for me because I haven't posted anything for a month! I can't believe we are already into July. That's what happens when I get so busy, time flies by too fast and I don't even know what day it is. June was full of getting everything at Bear Lake going, including our watercraft rental business and two rental cabins. As of Sunday the cabins are both finished and people are there renting them. Yay! If anyone ever wants to check out our business web-site it is http://www.bearlakewatersports.com/ and more information and all of the cabin info can be found on Brian's web-site at http://www.bearlakefun.com/

Here are some of our recent pictures...

Our family...

Mark & Kristen and Jaimee & Spencer also came to the beach later that day to hang out with us for a while! By that time I had already put my camera away and didn't think about it so I didn't get any pictures of them! Sorry guys! We enjoyed their company and are glad we got to hang out with them for a bit! I'm sure we will have more chances this summer to get pictures of us all!

Brent and Gavin Riding the New Skid Steer...

Right now we are building some rental cabins in Harbor Village at Bear Lake with Brent's cousin Chuck and their friend Kody. We were spending a ton of money on rental equipment and decided it would be cost effective to buy a skid steer for all of the landscaping projects we have coming up.
Here are some pictures of Brent and Gavin enjoying our new toy!

Just an up-date...

Wow! I have been having a hard time finding a few minutes to post anything lately. Life is crazy and it just gets crazier for us as soon as summer comes. But we love being in Bear Lake! It is a great place to spend the summer! So you may not see very many posts from me for the next few months.
Well it seems like Gavin turned into a little boy overnight. Brent was commenting today that he seems to grow up so much when he doesn't see him for a few days. Here is what I mean...
Doesn't he just look like a little boy now?!
Where did the baby go? :(

I took him to the Dr. on Tuesday for his 18 month appointment. I have to vent a little bit about it and get everyone's opinion. So please let me know what you think...

Gavin is in the less than 5th percentile for his weight now. He is so skinny! But he is getting taller, his head is a good size and he has good muscle mass so the Dr. isn't as worried about him, but he still wants me to bring him back in 2 months for a weight check. He also suggested a few things that I should do to help him gain weight. For example: put oil in his orange juice, Carnation Instant Breakfast in his milk and put extra butter on everything. He also said I should feed him things like spaghetti and pizza because a slice of pizza has about 220 calories. Then he joked about feeding him a lot of LaBeau's milkshakes and french fries this summer! Anyway, my whole issue with what the doctor advised me to do is that it is so unhealthy! I don't want him to get used to eating junk food and then want only that. I know he is below the curve, but so many Americans are overweight these days and I don't want him to start eating unhealthy at such a young age! I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid, but what does it matter if he weighs a little less than other kids his age?

I think a lot of the reason he is so skinny is just genetics. I looked just like him when I was little: skin and bones with a little belly! Maybe he just has a high metabolism or he has food allergies or something (which he could very likely have. I feel so bad that my children have to inherit my allergies!)

Erin's Birthday Dinner...

A few weeks ago me, my mom and Gavin got to go to Layton and meet up with my friends Erin, Amanda and Teea at Tepanyaki's for Erin's birthday! It was great food and even better company! Thanks guys! Here are some pictures from our night out...

An awesome quote...

I get these church quotes in my in-box every day from "LDS Gems" and this one stuck out to me:

"It matters not our circumstance, be we humble or arrogant, poor or rich, free or enslaved, learned or ignorant, loved or forsaken, we can address Him. We need no appointment. Our solicitation can be brief or can occupy all the time needed. It can be an extended expression of love and gratitude or an urgent plea for help. He has created numberless cosmos and populated them with worlds, yet you and I can talk with Him personally, and He will ever answer."

Smithfield Health Days

Brian, Jaimee, and I decided to run in the 10K race they had for Smithfield's annual Health Days celebration last Saturday. We took Gavin and Spencer with us in the bike trailer/stroller. Brent couldn't be there because he had to be in Bear Lake and we missed him!
We started with the 10K race at 7:30 (kind of! They were really slow getting it started). Brent's mom and dad met us at the finish line and then we all went to the fireman's pancake breakfast at the fire station. We were all pretty hungry and it was really good! From there we went to the parade and then to Brent's grandma Grandy's house for a visit. It was a fun day and I'm glad we went!

Gavin and Spencer...along for the ride!
