Snowmobiling!

This past weekend we went up to the sinks in Logan Canyon to help Brian break-in his new snowmobiles! Here are a few pictures from our fun day...Gavin and Grandpa Hirschi ready to go!

Just a few funny things about Gavin...

I don't know if very many people know this, but Gavin LOVES hair!!! Or fur, or basically anything fuzzy. You can always tell when he is tired because he will suck on his two fingers (his index & middle fingers on his right hand) and play with my hair with his other hand.

It was hilarious one day in nursery because I looked over at him and he was sucking on his fingers and playing with the little girl's hair who was sitting by him! It is pretty cute, but I wonder how long his fascination with hair will last! Another funny story was one day when my grandma was watching him she said he got tired so he did the usual, he stuck his fingers in his mouth and grabbed for some hair. Well, my grandma has short hair and he couldn't get ahold of any so he smacked her! It's a good thing he didn't know any better (and that my grandma thought it was funny!)

He is also very intriguied by lids. It all started with his bottle. He would love to take the lid off, put it back on, take the lid off, put it back on and so on. Same goes with his sippie cups, my water bottles, his laundry basket lid, etc. I just think these things are funny and they make Gavin who he is, so I wanted to share!

Vote Ron Paul For President!!!

Well I have come to the conclusion that our government has dug ourselves in such a deep hole that we have to get a president in office that will stop the digging, or we will have a very bleak future. Our government has managed to get our national debt to $9 Trillion Dollars , and they will owe another $41 Trillion to pay Americans in "entitlement benefits" down the road (you know, things like social security, Medicare, etc.) bringing our real national debt figures to roughly $50 trillion dollars. In the year 2006 the government spent over $406 Billion Dollars alone in paying interest on our debts. Our country spends over $553 Billion dollars a year on military expenditures, where the next highest runner up in the world is the U.K, spending only $65 Billion. Why do we need to spend so much money on military expenditures???? We borrow 2.5 billion dollars a day to feed the current budget. If the notes payable came due for that money today, that would mean each person would have to come up with $175,000 to pay the debt. The truth is America can’t afford to continue on the path we are on without bankrupting our country. Currently our government just simply "prints more money" to take care of the shortfall. Doing that will only continue to devalue our dollar and raise inflation. That is why I fully support presidential candidate Ron Paul. He is hands down the Best Candidate!
