From Kirtland we drove to Nauvoo, Illinois. We stayed there for two nights and it was nice to be in one place for a little while! The one picture of Gavin is in the Women's Garden at the Nauvoo Visitor's Center. I call this statue his girlfriend because he was pretty in love with her! (As you can see in the picture!) In Nauvoo we took a wagon tour and saw all of the neat things there. We also drove by the Nauvoo Temple. Then we drove about 45 minutes to Carthage Jail and took the tour there.
The rest of our trip was basically driving! We did a lot of that, you know! We stayed one night in Lincoln, Nebraska and then we went on to Denver(Aurora), Colorado to stay with Brent's sister Susan and her family. Then we drove from there to Bear Lake to stay at the Hirschi Hideout with the rest of Brent's family for Conference weekend. And finally from Bear Lake we drove home! We had a fun trip, but it was sure nice to come home!

Gavin's 9 month pictures

I know he is almost 11 months old now, but here are some of Gavin's 9 month pictures! (I'm a little slow at getting them posted) My sister-in-law's sister, Rachel, took them. We did some at my sister-in-law Jaimee's house, then we walked down to a wheat field and took some more. It was a fun day and Gavin was good for most of his pictures only because he got to take a nap in-between! (The perks of being friends with the photographer I guess!)
He is growing up way too fast and it is hard for me to believe that he will be a year old next month. Where has the time gone? I sure am glad I have been given the opportunity to be his mom. My life is happier and more blessed because he is in it.

Family Pictures September 2007

This year we decided to have our family pictures taken at Bear Lake since it is our second home now!
They were taken by Adam & Rachel McCracken (see
http://www.arfinephoto.com/ for more information) We took some at the Hirschi Hideout in front of this cool old red barn.

Then I wanted some taken at the beach, so we decided to hurry and drive to North Beach before it got too dark. On our way it started pouring rain! I was so sad! But after a few minutes it stopped and there was this awesome rainbow! So the rain was a good thing I guess! (Meeko even joined us for a few of our pictures.)
